Koinonia is the campus fellowship of Gracepoint Fellowship Church that started at UC Berkeley and has grown to other college campuses in California and Texas (Please see http://www.koinonia.net/). Since many of us have our roots in Taiwan, it is our vision to bring what we have experienced in the U.S. here to Taiwan. After a wonderful time here the summer of 2007 when we hosted GospelFest at NCTU and NTHU, we are excited to be able to finally move to Hsinchu!

“Koinonia” is the Greek word for fellowship. And that’s what we’re all about - fellowship with God and with each other. Through weekly Bible studies, get-togethers, and navigating through life together, we learn more about ourselves, one another, and how God fits into all this. We meet together for our weekly Bible study on Fridays and worship service on Sundays, with many other activities in between. As we study the Bible, our speakers help us understand what life is about, who God is and how to apply the truths of the Bible to our lives. In the midst of the exciting and hectic time during college, maybe you’re looking for a place where you can be yourself and find a listening ear. Whether you are a committed Christian or simply curious as to what it’s all about, you’re welcome to come check us out. We think you’ll find what you’re looking for - and much more!

In September 2007, ten of us returned to Hsinchu to start Koinonia-Hsinchu. We met up with friends we had met during our previous visits and our first campus Bible study began! Friday Night Plus began with the vision of creating a home away from home, a place where we can get closer to each other and to God. On December 23, 2007, Gracepoint Fellowship Church, Hsinchu, officially began, as more than 80 of our friends from the U.S. came to share this momentous occasion with us.
