So I dug this out of the archives from last year’s Maxwell Field Sports Night.  Man watching it again just makes me want to go outside and start running around with a big rubber ball and throwing it at people.

I love Maxwell sports night’s b/c of the cool night air, the bright stadium style lights, the astro turf, and this inner desire to show all the young ones around that I can still beat them at Braveheart b/c I know the secret to that game.  muhahaha.  Check out the trailer, hope you get pumped up!

Different weeks, we have different newscasters to give the neighborhood news. Maybe it’ll be you next time. This was the 3rd take with the 3rd set of people because the previous folks were seriously weird and we couldn’t in good conscience post it to the world wide web.

Sunday, Aug 9 Home Worship
Same time, 12:30 PM. We’ll start with lunch. Rides at Anna Head at 11:30 AM. Afterwards, we’re going retro and playing Kickball, so bring your gear and your game.

A little while ago, at our 4th of July trip to Sea Ranch, the guys were on the beach playing football while the girls were playing British Bulldog. I wish we had video of the British Bulldog. It was a sight to see. There was a lot of screaming and yelling and a lot of bodies flying around.

While the guys were wrapping up, we decided to do the fastest man on the beach competition. We lined up, about 15 of us, and sprinted about 70 yards.

John C. and Isaiah were our faithful camera men. For some reason, they decided to bow out and sit on the bench for this one.

Winners: Howard, Kevin D., and… it’s too hard to tell who was third. In any case, no one remembers 2nd place loser.

I’m not sure what John Newton would think of this version, but Sang does a fine modern rendition of Amazing Grace – Sang Style.

btw, this is just one of the many kinds of things we do in the down-times while at our leaders’ Steve/Suzanne’s place.  Hanging out, talking, eating and beat boxing.  Just what normal ppl do.
