So while all the sisters were having their girls-only night this past Friday, we brothers decided to have our own guys-only fun. What better way to start off the night than with an AMAZING BBQ dinner!
Just look at all that delicious meat! Of course, being a brother’s-only meal, the food planners decided to skimp out on the green parts of the food pyramid. I guess their definition of a salad is a macaroni salad.
After finishing dinner and cleaning up, we all gathered together to listen to some of the brother staff share some words of wisdom and their personal testimony.
And finally came the event that everyone was waiting for…Koinonia’s first-ever 4-on-4 Basketball Tournament! Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and staff all took on Steve’s challenge and teamed up to form 24 teams, which then got split into 3 regions: West, Central, and East. With team names like “Broman Peers”, “Linsanity”, and “Oh Yeah”, this was bound to be a tournament to remember. Just look at the following pictures:
Look at that super complicated tournament ladder. They almost look like some type of molecular orbital.
Even the rain and darkness didn’t stop this tournament from continuing.
We even had some official referees!
In the finals of the playoffs, we had Linsanity versus Gameover. It was a very action-packed, electrifying game.
And to top it off, Mason made a last-second shot to seal the game. And now we have our winners of Koinonia’s first-ever 4-on-4 Basketball Tournament: Linsanity!
