Thanksgiving’s over… Finals are here!
Dec 4, 2009
This past Thanksgiving, some of us stayed up here in Northern California. Here’s what we did.
Wednesday night: our homegroup had dinner together, and then watched Gracepoint Live: Undo. It was exciting reliving GLive, and I was blown away by how meaningful the performances were and the message that was communicated. And it all looked so fun! It almost made me want to do it again this year… almost!
Thanksgiving Thursday, we had lunch together at Central. Played “3-6-9″, complete with the Thanksgiving turkey sound FX, and King Kong Shower, and then we played at the park (with everyone else was around… that’s where Mike K. got bonked by a volleyball), and then a wonderful Sirloin roast Thanksgiving dinner back at Central.
As part of our time, we answered this question: “I’m grateful this Thanksgiving because were it not for ___________, I wouldn’t be here.” It led to some really heart-filled sharing of very meaningful words.
Anyway, let me give you the rundown on what’s happening:
- Bible study tonight (Friday), 7:30p @ First Pres
- Koinonia-wide Winter Ice Skating! Bring $6 for entrance and skate rentals. Sweet deal. If you’re really good, you can join the group of us that wants to do Jai Ho on Ice.
- Gracepoint Live UNDO DVD is available!
- Saturday: Winter Mission Training at NorthLoop
Next week there’s some great stuff to keep in mind:
Thursday, Dec 10: Homegroup Christmas Party and Gift Exchange. Nice way to wrap up the semester together… yeah, it’s in the middle of dead week, but… just study hard! More info coming.
Friday, Dec 11: After Koinonia Bible study, we’re going on-campus to do Christmas Caroling, and a special end-of-the-year moment.
Alright, hope to see you guys tonight!
More pictures available online. Join us next year!
