One more congratulations for Stephanie and Irene who were baptized on Sunday!
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Friday Bible Study starts at 7:30p in 2050 VLSB. The other campus fellowships are joining us too (acts2fellowship and Kairos) so come early and get seats. 4 college students will be sharing their faith journeys with us. We get to hear their story, and then Daniel Kim (a2f director) will give a short message.
Afterwards, the upperclassmen are taking off immediately to Sierra Lodge. The rest of us are clustering together with Homegroups Mike|Joanna, Emily|Ray, and Dan|Hannah for a fun hunt around campus. Bring something warm (because it’s chilly at nights!), and join us in the 2050 auditorium for instructions and teams!
As for the FRESHMEN, there’s an all-Koinonia Freshman Sierra Lodge trip next Friday-Saturday (Oct 16-17)! You don’t want to miss this! Sign up online and do it soon!
For those of you guys attending Sunday Worship Service at Gracepoint Berkeley, Koinonia’s in the overflow the month of October. Of course, if you’re dying to be in the main auditorium, that’s cool. Just sneak in there! We’re starting a new series, Out of the Night, a study in John 3, beginning at 1:30p every Sunday.
In the news
At our recent Interhigh event, Rise: Take A Stand For Jesus, Sean McDowell talked about the value and role of Truth. Give it a listen! It’s good stuff.
Last Sunday, we baptized 39 brothers and sisters, heard 6 people give their stories, and watched a moving before & after presentation from all 39 people. Afterwards, we took a ton of pictures, including one of the whole homegroup:
…and another one of some really random people who just happened to be in the right place at the right time!
Then there’s the Freshman Guys’ LIFEGroup: we did an old 3rd grade throwback and played kickball, had barbecued ribs (and vegetables of course!), and did some stuff that resulted in a lot of laughter but isn’t cool to document publicly on the world wide web.

wow these pictures are awesome! they’re always so much to go to! it’s so exciting to be a part of our group ^^
Last Fri was was sooo fun and had an awesome bang-for-the-buck factor (it was free).
Throwback to Third grade was awesome too. Can’t remember the last time I played kickball and wiffleball [Eddie, you're amazing]. The poor-boy’s childhood game, “JUG-ernaut” was half bad either =).
Congratulations Stephanie and Irene on your baptism!! I was really blessed by the testimonies of our baptism candidates as well as the before-and-after-Christ card flips. Truly our God is mighty to save and transform lives!!
