Course 101: Christian Foundations
Sep 3, 2009
Course 101 is a great 9-week course we’re offering this semester that you can take in a 1-on-1 or small-group setting. Drawing from many scholarly sources and Bible passages, the course gives an intellectual basis for answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about the Christian faith and addresses misconceptions about God, Jesus and the Bible. Ever wonder “Who is Jesus?” or “How do we know the Bible is accurate or true?” or “What is the evidence for the Resurrection?” Then go ahead and sign up online for Course 101.
There are 2 versions of the course, one which assumes no prior knowledge about Christianity, and one for those who have more church experience. Ask any upperclassman, this course is very eye-opening, even if you grew up in church, so I encourage you all to sign up!

C101 is a great class on the Foundations of Christianity. Even though I grew up in the church, it was an eye opening experience for me my freshmen year. I didnt know that I could look at the bible with a critical minda rather than just blindly accepting faith. Also, it was just a great opportunity to ask those questions that I thought about but never expressed like what’s the meaning of life?, what’s my purpose?, who is God and what does he have anything to do with my life?, etc. Everyone, whether you never thought about God or grew up in the church, should take this course and give it a chance with an open mind.
Highly, highly, highly recommend it to anyone and everyone! Really brought out a lot of my intellectual issues with Christianity and helped me deal with it.
During my freshmen year, Lifegroup time was one of the highlights of the week. We ate good food together, got to know each other better, and I got a lot of my questions answered. I grew up in church all my life also, but Lifegroup became a place where I really started to hammer out the implications of Christianity in my daily life. I look back at those times with really fond memories. =)
