Career Social and Best of the Best videos!

This past Tuesday we met at the YWCA for our Career Social! We made many new friends as we enjoyed food and discussed our futures. We started it off with a presentation by Ariana and then continued with a discussion time for questions and answers. And just to show that we can have fun too, we finished with an epic game of Best of the Best!

Here’s how the game works: each group picks their representatives for each category (Most Competitive, Most Expressive, etc), and then the representatives battle to see who is really the best! Here’s some clips, as promised:

Most Competitive: For this competition, each player needed to pick out as many Skittles as he could using only chopsticks. But here’s the catch: you can only pick out Skittles of one color, and you’re allowed to steal Skittles from other players as well. That’s when it started getting competitive…

Most Flexible: To see who is truly the most flexible, each player needed to pick up a styrofoam cup with his / her mouth. Sounds easy? Try doing it while holding your leg and your ear with opposite hands!

Most Creative / Artistic: The creative humanities majors took over for this one in which we played a round of charades. Watch these actors and see if you can figure out what they’re trying to act out (answer at the end):

Most Expressive: Perhaps one of the funniest competitions of the night, we saw who among us was the most expressive. And how did we test this you ask? By putting post-it notes on each player’s face and seeing how many they could get off by using only facial expressions. I think Dennis gets the award for best use of his mouth, though the post-it notes seemed pretty persistent:

Some of the other competitions we held were for the Most Agile (saw who could send a text the fastest), Most Talkative (who could recite the alphabet backwards the quickest), and the Most Un-responsive (who would win a game of ‘This is so Fun’), which was dominated by the engineers and science majors.

Come join the fun tonight at Maxwell Field Night at 9pm! Hope to see you all there! Yea!

(Charades answer: At the beginning of the semester, I climbed to the top of 4.0 hill and rolled down. At the end of the semester, when I checked my grades, I found that I got a 4.0, and so I went back to the top of the hill to celebrate.)
