Touring through Berkeley and tonight’s NSWN!
Aug 27, 2009
On Tuesday, we met at Unit 2 and ran around different parts of Berkeley. About 20 or so people came. We chatted, then jumped in cars, and drove around getting some neat eats (like Cheeseboard, Bakesale Betty’s, Foster’s Freeze). We also checked out Berkeley Marina and the Berkeley Rose Garden, and of course, the stone slide at Cordonices Park! Looking forward to New Student Welcome Night tonight!
Thursday, 8/27
New Student Welcome Night at Pauley Ballroom, 7 PM. The can’t-miss event of the new semester! Get there early because there’s a ton of people and you don’t want to miss out…! Plus, there’s free Korean BBQ!

Maxwell Field Sports Night starts at 9 PM on the beautiful astroturf field next to Bowles Hall. Bring your A-game!
Some of us are thinking about heading to SF beforehand to hang out, get some clam chowder, and just check out the Bay. If you’re interested, stay tuned.
Saturday, 8/29
Basketball at Willard Middle School, just a couple blocks south of Dwight on Telegraph. Couple courts there. Bring your game, and let’s play. 10:30 AM we’ll be there.

Looks like you guys had so much fun!
Now for a bit of strolling down memory lane…
The first picture where you guys are sitting on those wooden benches reminded me of the first ever Zone C *curves hand into a “C”* picnic…that was just a few ye…nevermind, that was a LONG time ago! That was when Kevan and Jenny (and myself) were undergrads, and now-Pastor Manny and Sunny from Gracepoint Austin were leading us rowdy folk. Now they’re leading their own homegroup, which is pretty much like a zone. Wow…time flies, and God has been faithful! Thankful for the shared history with coworkers in God’s ministry such as Jenny and Kevan!
whoa that was a long time ago…. haha
and ici’s!
we need to check out john’s ice cream too! and fenton’s
